Napoli are still eyeing the market for another striker and it seems that Juventus striker, Alessandro Matri, may fill that spot. It still has to be seen if Juventus are interested in selling their striker to a direct league contender but Napoli’s offer of 12 million euros is softening Juventus resistance. On the other hand it still has to be seen if Matri will accept a move to Napoli. First of all it seems that Matri doesn’t fancy life in Napoli and therefore is hesitant of accepting the move. In addition to that it seems that there might be some issues with Matri’s contract as it seems that Napoli are’t ready to offer him the salary he is currently earning at Juventus. In the coming days we’ll have a better idea if the deal will be done.
Alessandro Matri developed as footballer in Milan’s youth sector. When promoted to the senior side he was loaned out several times to Prato, Lumezzane and Rimini. After wearing the AC Milan shirt in only one competitive match he moved to Cagliari in 2007. At Cagliari he established himself as a key player and earned a move to Italian giants Juventus. Matri is also an Italy international as he represented his country 5 times whilst finding the back of the net once.
