The veteran midfielder is already the most bejeweled player in British football history and will be endearing his 13th league championship if Manchester United presses home to their twelve point advantage over their city rivals (ManchesterCity) in the Barclays Premier League. Ryan’s next emergence will be his 1,000th senior appearance, which includes appearances for Wales and Team GB at the London Olympics.

Sir Alex Ferguson said: “What can I say about Ryan that hasn’t already been said?” Ryan Giggs is an amazing player and a special human being. Ryan has always been an example to them.

He also added: it is wonderful to see the energy he has got for the game. Ryan seems to attain a fresh landmark every week and to think that he now has 23 constant years of league goals behind him is unquestionably astounding in the contemporary-day game.

In Manchester United’s official website, Giggs said: He was feeling good and enjoying the game more than ever. Most importantly he also felt like he was making a contribution to the team. This is one of the most exciting teams in the world to be part of and he is loving every bit of it as United is pushing for trophies again!

Ryan Giggs expressed his delight on signing a new contract and thanked Sir Alex Ferguson and all the coaching staffs along with David Gill, who had been tremendous support for him over many years.
