Premier League — 03 September 2013

Liverpool StrengthenIn recent years Liverpool have disappointed both in terms of performances and results but it seems that this season things might change. They made a perfect start to the season by winning their first three Premier League matches whilst not conceding a goal. That did not halt their ambitions as they remained very active in the transfer market. In the dying moments of the transfer window Liverpool made three quality signings that bolster their defensive line and add more quality to their attacking line.

The most expensive of these signings was Mamadou Sakho from Paris Saint Germain. He decided to leave PSG as he wasn’t going to get much playing time due to the recent signing of Marquinhos. Sakho will bring strength and steel to the reds defense. He can form a great partnership with any of the other Liverpool central defenders. Another signing was that of young defender Tiago Ilori from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon. Ilori is considered by many critics as one of the hottest prospects in Portuguese football. At Liverpool he will be in the right place to develop into a quality player as he will be training along experienced players such as Kolo Toure. The last signing of the transfer window was that of Victor Moses. They signing Moses on a season long loan deal from their rivals Chelsea. Moses brings with him speed, strength and quality that is very much needed to Liverpool’s attacking line.

Will Liverpool finish in the top 4?
