Premier League Transfer News — 16 November 2012

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is currently in top form and has scored eight goals in 11 appearances for the Reds in the Premier League this season.

His form hasn’t gone unnoticed elsewhere in the Premier League.

Interest

Champions Manchester City are believed to be interested in signing the controversial striker. If reports are to be believed City are ready to pay over £50million for the Uruguayan. If City do make a big money bid, then I believe it will be hard for the Reds to turn down.

Desperate

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is desperate to bring in more attacking options in January. However Rodgers wants to add quality additions to his squad to play alongside Suarez, and not in place of the mercurial star.

Strikers

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has good attacking options. The Italian already has Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli available to him. Apparently four international strikers are not enough for him.

The former-Inter boss now wants to add Suarez to his strike force, as City haven’t looked as potent in attack as last season. Mancini will face a fight to sign the striker though.

Staying

According to everybody involved with Liverpool Luis Suarez is staying where he is. The player himself has expressed his happiness at playing for Liverpool and stated he is not interested in moving on.

His boss Brendan Rodgers has also stated that the Uruguayan is going nowhere. However, it would interesting to see what would happen if Liverpool did receive a massive bid for the Uruguayan.

Liverpool are not currently in the same financial league as the likes of Chelsea or Manchester City and a big money bid could be enough for the Reds owners to part with the striker.

Should Luis Suarez leave Liverpool in January?
