Juventus are still very active in the transfer market especially to reduce their squad number. Two players that are heavily linked with a move away from Juventus are Fabio Quagliarella and Paolo De Ceglie. Fabio Quagliarella has been the subject of much transfer speculation as Juventus need to offload some of their attacking players with Quagliarella topping that list. He has been linked to various Italian and British sides with a move to England being much more likely as Premier League sides are ready to pay him the salary he is currently earning at Juventus. At first it appeared that Norwich City would clinch the signature of the Italy international but Quagliarella didn’t favor the move. Now it appears that he is very close to joining West Ham. It is being reported that personal terms have already been struck. The last obstacle is for the clubs to agree on the permanency of the transfer. West Ham want to sign Quagliarella on a season long loan deal with the option of making the deal permanent whilst Juventus want to sell him on a permanent basis immediately.
Paolo De Ceglie has also been linked to a move away from Juventus. Several Italian clubs were interested in signing De Ceglie but they couldn’t afford his salary. It now seems that he may also move to England as Sunderland have stepped up their interest in him and are very keen to sign him. Should he join Sunderland he would reunite with former Juventus midfielder, Emanuele Giaccherini.
