Maxi LopezAC Milan have been on the hunt for a striker, with their main target being Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez. It seemed that AC Milan were going to sign the Argentine international but Pato’s reluctance to join PSG meant that they cannot afford Tevez. Now it’s seems that the French side, PSG, will be signing Carlos Tevez. The loss of Tevez for AC Milan meant that they would have to consider other options. They decided to revive their interest in Catania striker, Maxi Lopez.

It seemed that Maxi Lopez was going to move to the Premier League to join Tottenham or Fulham. It seemed that he was on the way to London to sign for Fulham but AC Milan’s revived interest in him changed his mind. It seems that Catania sports chief, Pietro Lo Monaco, is eager to offloading the Argentine striker especially since he hasn’t got a lot of playing time this season. Compatriot Ruben Bergessio has been preferred to him. For Maxi Lopez, a move to AC Milan would mean a lot as he had already played for a great club in his early days (FC Barcelona) but since then didn’t enjoy great success.
