Transfer News — 10 January 2012
Recent contractual issues encountered between Di Maria and Real Madrid may lead to Argentine changing club. The player said that he had been promised a new contract should he perform well in his first year at Real Madrid. He has done so he is expecting a raise. It seems that Real Madrid don’t want to match his demands and this has fuelled transfer speculation. It’s well known that several teams are interested in Di Maria with Chelsea and the two Manchester sides leading the race.
It has to be seen if Real Madrid will grant Di Maria’s wishes as it may be counter effective having a disgruntled player within the squad.
