Liverpool have signed Swansea winger Joe Allen for a fee of around 20 million euros. This transfer was in the air for quite some time as new Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers, worked with him at Swansea and Allen was one of the star players. The critics will definitely doubt this signing as they don’t believe that Allen is experienced enough to play for a top team. This signing may be seen as lack of ambition by Liverpool.
To be fair we believe that this signing is a gamble but one that most probably will end well. We believe so as Allen is still very young at 22 years of age, last season he played some great football under the guidance of Rodgers with whom he’ll still be working at Merseyside. He is also a Wales international, he represented his country 8 times without finding the back of the net. He also formed part of the Great Britain squad that participated in these Olympics.
