Transfer News — 14 January 2012

Valon BehramiIn recent weeks Fiorentina and Juventus were in talks to discuss Amauri’s move to Fiorentina. It has been reported that during these talks Juventus have shown interest in Swiss midfielder Valon Behrami. It still has to be seen if Fiorentina are ready to let Behrami go as he has been one of their top performers since joining the club. Behrami joined Fiorentina in January 2011 from English side West Ham United. Juventus are interested in Behrami to bolster their midfield options as they do have the quality but lack quantity. Behrami would be a quality signing as he is a player that recovers many balls and never stops running.

Behrami started his professional career in Italy at Genoa. Since then he played at Verona and Lazio too. In 2005 Behrami played his first match for Switzerland. Since then he played 30 times and scored two goals for Switzerland. Should he move to Juventus, he would join international team mate Stephan Lichtsteiner.
