Italy Serie A — 08 January 2012

Serie AThe Serie A continues with a series of matches played today the 8th of January. An interesting match is going to be played between one of the weakest teams in the Serie A, Lecce, and Italian giants, Juventus. Although Lecce are not as good as Juventus, Lecce will try their best to obtain points as they will be enjoying the advantage of playing at home. The balance between Lecce and Juventus is in favour of Juventus, as the Bianconeri won 2 encounters, drew 1 and lost only 1. In the last 7 matches Lecce only managed a win and a draw. They lost the other five matches which shows the bad form they are passing through. On the other hand Juventus won 4 matches and drew 3 in their last 7 games. Italian Giants Juventus are topping the Serie A table with rivals AC Milan, whilst Lecce are bottom of the table. Lecce must win this game to gain vital points to climb the table although they will be facing a strong Juventus side. Lecce are likely to play with a 3-5-2 formation with Benassi between the posts, Oddo, Tomovic and Ferrario as defenders, Giacomazzi, Obodo and Oliveira as central midfielders, Cuadrado and Brivio as wingers. Their attack will consist of Di Michele and Muriel. On the other hand Juventus will play with a 4-4-3 formation with Buffon as goalkeeper, Lichtsteiner, Barzagli, Bonucci and Chiellini defenders, midfielders Vidal, Marchisio and Pirlo, and an attack consisting of Pepe, Matri and Vucinic who will be returning from an injury. Juventus need to win so keep on their challenge with rivals AC Milan for the title.
