According to the French press, Greek side Olympiacos FC have changed their objective to strengthen the midfield area. After letting go the pursue of PSG midfielder, Mohammed Sissoko, due to the excessive demands by the French champions, Olympiacos FC decided to start the chase for Bastia midfielder Sambou Yatabaré. Olympiacos FC offered 1 million euros and the season long loan of Giannis Fetfatzidis for the Malian midfielder.
Born in France but with Malian origins, Sambou Yatabaré, started his footballing career at French side Caen. After three seasons he moved on to Monaco. Following a disappointing season at Monaco, he moved on to Bastia where he established himself as an important player. Sambou Yatabaré is also a Mali international as he represented his country at senior level five times without ever finding the back of the net.
