Fiorentina-Roma is the fundamental step to participate to an European competition next year. Both the teams indeed have chances to be admitted to Europe League, and Fiorentina also to ChamFiorentina-Romapions League.

Montella’s team has to win to create tension to AC Milan that will play tomorrow against Torino, while Roma, in case of victory, will be only 3 points less Fiorentina. The two teams have equal possibilities to win the match, because their system of game is very similar. The match Roma-Fiorentina finished 4-2 and it could be considered one of the best matches of the whole Serie A during this season.

Fiorentina arrives to this match after a positive series of victories, 3 in the last 3 matches against Atalanta, Torino and Sampdoria. Montella will not have available Savic, due to a suspension, and Roncaglia due to an injury. Roncaglia will be substituted by Compper. The coach will for sure line up Aquilani, Pizarro and Borja Valero as midfielders, while the attack will be formed by Jovetic, Cuadrado and Ljajic.

On the other hand, Roma arrives from the positive and clear victory against Siena, that helped the team to recover after the draw against Pescara, the last team in the league table. De Rossi and Castan do not have perfect physical condition, and for this reason Andreazzoli won’t line up them from the first minute. Absent for sure the Dutch goalkeeper Stekelenburg, that will be substituted by Lobont. Burdisso, Marquinhos and Balzaretti should be the defenders, while in the midfield it is probable the presence of Pjanic or Bradley. Osvaldo should return regular, after his 3 goals in Siena, while Destro will remain on the bench.

The result of this match is considerably important for the highest part of the league table and for the participation to Europe League.
