The match against Atalanta will represent one of the last possibilities for Fiorentina to try to reach AC Milan and the third place. In fact, after the direct match played last Sunday, the situation remained unchanged: the draw 2-2 maintained Fiorentina with 6 points less AC Milan. This round could be the perfect occasion for Fiorentina, because AC Milan will play the difficult match against Napoli. However, also Atalanta will not be an easy enemy.
At the beginning of the season, Atalanta got the worst results at home, being defeated in almost every match. But now the situation has improved and Atalanta, in the last rounds, has gained important points against Sampdoria and Pescara, that means the sure permanence in Serie A also next season.
Both the teams are playing with rebuilt teams, due to the numerous absences. Atalanta misses Raimondi in defense, disqualified after the match against Inter Milan. The biggest problems are in the midfield, where Cigarini and Carmona are disqualified and Cazzola is injured; the only possibility remains Radovanovic. The attack should be formed by Livaja and Denis, with Maxi Moralez on the bench, ready to help his team.
Fiorentina plays without Toni and Jovetic; for this reason Montella would probably line up El Hamdaoui, always remained on the bench, or not called, during this season. This last one will play with Ljajic, author of the first penalty last Sunday. In the midfield Montella will probably not line up Pasqual, but he is almost sure about Cuadrado and Romulo. The defense will be formed by Roncaglia and Rodrigurez, with Compper, that will substitute Tomovic, due to the red card of last week.
