After a lot of transfer rumors, it’s finally official, Mattia Destro is a Roma player. Mattia Destro impressed everyone last season thanks to his performances at Siena during which he also managed to score more than 10 goals. Initially it seemed that he was going to join either Inter Milan or Juventus but surprisingly enough Roma managed to win the race. Roma have signed Destro for a total fee of 16 million euros of which 11.5 million will be paid this summer whilst the remaining 4.5 million euros will be paid next summer. Mattia Destro will enjoy a yearly salary of 3 million euros.
Mattia Destro is considered to be one of Italy’s most promising prospects. He spent his youth years at Inter Milan before moving on to Genoa and Siena. Last season, at Siena, he started to fulfill some of the pundits expectations thanks to his performances.
