Today the second day of the Italian Serie A kick started with games involving highly rated title challengers Napoli and Juventus. The first match was played at 18:00 in Verona where Chievo faced Napoli. The match was an entertaining one with many goals scored. Napoli opened the score in the 13th minute through their captain Marek Hamsik. Chievo leveled the match in the 24th minute through Paloschi. It took Napoli only four minutes to restore their lead with a goal by Callejon. Late in the first half, more specifically in the 40th minute, Chievo managed to level the match again as Paloschi scored his second goal of the night. In the 64th minute Napoli regained the lead with another goal by their captain, Marek Hamsik, before Higuain sealed the match with his first goal in a Napoli shirt. This win allows them to continue their positive start to the season.

In the second match of the night at the Juventus Stadium, Juventus faced Lazio. Juventus opened the score after only 14 minutes thanks to a great finish by Arturo Vidal. Juventus doubled the lead only 12 minutes later thanks to a second goal by Vidal. Only 2 minutes later Lazio pulled one back with a goal by Klose. In the second half Juventus secured their win with two goals scored by Vucinic and Tevez. Juventus secured their second Serie A win of the season to maintain their perfect start to the season.
