One of the most difficult match for AC Milan is now finished, with the result 0-2, goal scored by Pazzini and Balotelli.
The beginning of the match is characterized by an excellent Genoa that creates difficulties for AC Milan. Allegri’s team seems sleeping, maybe the mind is already in Barcelona.
The field is in terrible conditions; the turning point is the foul made by Portanova to the detriment on Pazzini. AC Milan player started limping due to an injury to the right knee. Balotelli, on the bench, but not at the best of his physical conditions, has no time to enter as substitute that Pazzini, twist of fate, scores the first goal of the match. After the goal Pazzini’s face shows pain and sufferance.
Balotelli, just entered, gets a yellow card and started suffering as well due to another blow to the peroneal bone; also Robinho starts warming up.
The referee is not able to manage a so difficult match, it is visible that Genoa is playing with ill intent. It is also remarkable that a penalty would have been assigned to Genoa because Niang, in the penalty area, handles the ball.
The beginning of the second half is characterized by the substitution of Mexes by Mario Yepes. In fact, the French player has felt pain; the change is strategic to preserve Mexes for the match in Camp Nou. Genoa is very aggressive, the coach tries to change the aspect of his team through the entrance of Ciro Immobile.
At 15′ of the second half, Mario Balotelli scores his 5th goal in Serie A, thanks to Zapata’s assist. The irritability in the field is tangible: Genoa’s supporters make wicked the situation, using lasers to distract the players of the rival team. Visible sign is the second yellow card, that means expulsion, for Kevin Constant, ex Genoa player. Constant’s reaction is exaggerate, even if the foul made to his detriment should have cost Bovo a red card.
AC Milan remains with 10 players and more than 30 minutes to play. Allegri decides to change El Shaarawy, definitely regular against Barcelona, for Abate.
The last 30 minutes are characterized by an always more aggressive Genoa that tries to score several times. However, an excellent Abbiati saves the situation.
