Clint Dempsey quits European and British football after six successful seasons to join MLS side Seattle Sounders back in his native country, United States. It is being reported that Seattle Sounders paid Tottenham 9 million US dollars for the US international. It is also being said that Dempsey will receive 32 million US dollars in base salary during his stay at Seattle Sounders. This move may be quite a surprise to many as Dempsey could have easily extended his stay in European football but the progress American soccer is making convinced Dempsey that a return to the US is the best move for him.
