Massimiliano Allegri is one of the most discussed elements of Italian football. This week is crucial for his future, because the missed qualification in Champions League next Sunday could mean his departure from AC Milan.
The match planned on Sunday evening is against Siena, a team already relegated in Serie B, but this fact does not imply that the match will be easy. Mr Allegri and his team have to win to participate to the preliminary phase of Champions League. In case of defeat, Europe League will be the European destination of AC Milan.
The tension is considerable, not only for the importance of next match, but above all because the president Berlusconi does not want to confirm Allegri as the coach of AC Milan. All the players, Pazzini and Balotelli as first, have declared that they appreciate Mr Allegri and that they want to be trained by him also during the following season. Galliani has confirmed as well, that Allegri will respect his contract till June 2014, but the rumors are against this fact.
Every day indeed, it appears on Italian newspapers that Allegri has signed a contract with Roma or that he has already defined an agreement with another team. AC Milan and Roma continue denying this fact, even if the arrival of Allegri in Rome seems more than possible.
After this week, AC Milan will know more about his European future, and as a consequence also about Allegri.
