During the stop for the qualifications of the National teams for Brazil 2014, Mazzarri wants to create a new equilibrium to gain at least the second place in Serie A. A problem, because the majority of his strikers and midfielders is playing for their National teams. For this reason, Napoli’s coach is trying to work with the defence, building a new strategy. He is applying the formation experimented in the last phases of the match against Chievo and Atalanta: he has inserted Valon Behrami as a defensive midfielder, that has to play as Van Bommel in AC Milan las. In this way, Mazzarri can renounce to a defender such as Gamberini, to insert Armero, that could give an offensive approach to the left side.
Applying this new strategy, Mazzarri tries to reinforce the midfield, currently the most problematic part of his team. The midfield seems tired, above all Gökhan Inler, whose work has been substituted during the match against Atalanta and also during these last trainee sessions, by Dzemaili and Armero. These two players should be the new forces for Napoli: Dzemaili has now found his position and in the last matches as regular player he has been fundamental for the development of the game. Also Armero is showing an excellent condition, he is not tired, due to his poor employment during this season, and he has enough energy and flexibility to become the key player of the following months.
