Italy Serie A — 18 May 2013

Serie B has just ended and Sassuolo and Hellas Verona have been directly promotedHellas Verona in Serie A. An important objective for both the teams: for Sassuolo next season will be the first in Serie A, while Hellas Verona played last time Serie A 11 years ago. Another team will be promoted in Serie A after the playoff that will see Livorno-Brescia and Novara-Empoli.

Sassuolo arrives in Serie A after an excellent season, that saw the team first in the league table for almost the whole period. The last match of Sassuolo has been complex: Livorno is an aggressive enemy, that wanted to win the match to be directly qualified to play in Serie A. The decisive goal arrived at 94′ of the second half, scored by the midfielder Simone Missiroli that in this way has conducted his team as first in Serie A.

Hellas Verona returns in Serie A after 11 years, well remembering the terrible defeat that drove them in Serie B. His last match in Serie B has been played against Empoli and finished 0-0, a positive result for both the teams. In fact, through this draw and considered the result of Sasssuolo-Livorno, Hellas Verona is finally in Serie A, while Empoli has the possibility of the playoff. A return felt by the whole city of Verona, that is celebrating this historical moment of its team.
