Bayern Munich and Brazil international midfielder, Luis Gustavo, has just joined Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg. Wolfsburg sign Gustavo for a fee of 15 million euros with the player committing himself to the club till 2018. This transfer will be a surprise to many as everyone was expecting Gustavo to leave Germany. Both Napoli and Arsenal were very interested in the Brazilian midfielder and following Gustavo’s nice words about Arsenal everyone was expecting him to join the London based side.
On the other hand this transfer move is a very ambitious one by Wolfsburg as they are looking to strengthen their squad to qualify for the Champions League. Gustavo will be joining other Brazilians at Wolfsburg such as Diego and Naldo. One has to see if Gustavo will be Wolfsburg’s last signing or if more is to come from the Wolves.
