It appears that Lucas Biglia may join Arsenal in the January transfer window as it has been rumored that the London based side reached an agreement with Anderlecht. The Argentina international was close to joining the gunners this summer but the move didn’t materialize as an agreement wasn’t reached between the clubs. Should the move materialize it would be a great coup by Arsenal as many top clubs have expressed their interest for Biglia. In recent months Inter Milan were very keen on signing the Anderlecht midfielder.
Biglia started his professional career at Argentine side Argentinos Juniors. In 2005 he moved to Independiente before moving to Belgium to join Anderlecht in 2006. At only 19 years of age he impressed at Anderlecht and went on to becoming a key player. His performances with Anderlecht didn’t go unnoticed and earned him several call ups to the national side. He played seven games for Argentina since 2011 but still has to find the back of the net for his country.
