Luis Alberto has completed his move to LiverpoolLiverpool have now completed the signing of Sevilla striker Luis Alberto for a fee of £7million.

The player completed his medical on Merseyside yesterday ahead of signing a long-term contract with the Reds.

According to reports from Sky Sports, the Reds have agreed a fee in the region of £11million for Sunderland keeper Simon Mignolet.

The Belgium international was outstanding for the Black Cats last season and has stated he did not wish to sign a new contract with the Wearsiders.

The 25-year-old is now expected on Merseyside early next week to have a medical and discuss personal terms.

Liverpool’s city-rivals Everton could be about to make a £4.5million swoop for Lorient defender Bruno Ecuele Manga, reports the Daily Mail. New Everton boss Roberto Martinez is a known admirer and is keen to find a potential long-term replacement for veteran centre-back Sylvain Distin.

Manga is a 25-year-old Gabon international, who was brought into the club to replace Laurent Koscielny, when the centre-back joined Arsenal.

Elsewhere, Tottenham are believed to be in negotiations to sign Corinthians highly regarded Brazilian international Paulinho. The 24-year-old is rated in the £17million bracket and could soon be heading to the Premier League.

London rivals Fulham could have a job on their hands keeping hold of right-back Sascha Riether, as interest in his homeland grows. The 30-year-old impressed for the Cottagers last season, while on-loan from Koln and signed a permanent deal this summer.

He is now attracting the interest of Bundesliga sides such as Schalke and Hamburg. Riether won Fulham’s Player of the Year award last season.

Premier League Southampton are on the trail of £10million-rated Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama, according to reports in the Daily Star. The Kenyan star impressed last season for the Hoops, especially in the Champions League. Newly-promoted Cardiff City are also interested in signing the star.
