Yesterday Italian giants Juventus faced Spanish giants Malaga in their last friendly match before their first official match of the season as on Saturday they will be facing Napoli for the Italian Super Cup. The match immediately started with a surprise as on the Juventus bench there wasn’t their coach Antonio Conte but his colleague Massimo Carrera. Juventus have decided so to test this combination in the event Antonio Conte does get suspended and won’t be able to sit on the bench. Antonio Conte watched the match from the journalist’s area.
The match was pleasant to watch with Juventus always being the better the side. They scored the opener after only three minutes thanks to some great finishing by Alessandro Matri. The score didn’t change in the first half. In the second half Malaga created a great opportunity as within the first minute they hit the crossbar but only six minutes later Matri scored his second personal goal and for Juventus to close to match. The best player on the pitch was by far Sebastian Giovinco.
