According to British tabloid Daily Telegraph Norwich star Grant Holt is attracting the interest of Everton. Yesterday Grant Holt handed in a transfer request to his club as he wants to step up his career and he believes that this would be his last chance as he is 31 years of age. This season was his first season in the Premier League and he impressed all critics with his work rate and goal ratio as he managed 15 goals in 35 games. He was the second English top scorer only behind Wayne Rooney. It still has to be seen if Norwich will let such a key player leave their ranks.
Grant Holt had a low profile start to his professional football career as he spent most of his early days plying his trade in part-time leagues. In 2002 he finally made it to a professional league as he joined Sheffield Wednesday in First Division. Since then he moved on to Rochdale, Nottingham Forest, Blackpool and Shrewsbury Town. In 2009 he joined then League One side Norwich. In his first season he managed 24 goals in 39 games and was instrumental in their obtaining promotion. The following season Norwich managed to obtain promotion to the Premier League and Holt managed 21 goals in 45 games. In 2011, Holt finally managed to play in the Premier League with Norwich.
