Mounir El Hamdaoui, a Fiorentina striker, is attracting the interest of English side Liverpool. Although he joined Italian side Fiorentina only last summer he may consider a move to another club as he hasn’t been able to get as much playing time as he wished for. When Mounir El Hamdaoui was asked by Sky Sports about Liverpool’s interest he replied by stating that there’s nothing official but interest from a club by Liverpool would definitely be flattering.
Till now El Hamdaoui has experienced a mixed career as in the Netherlands he has been very successful wherever he played whilst in England he had a disappointing stint as he didn’t play many games both at Tottenham Hotspur and Derby County. In the Netherlands he played for Dutch sides Excelsior, Willem II, AZ and Ajax. At international level he has represented two countries as he play for Netherlands at U-21 level and for Morocco at senior level. He has represented Morocco five times and managed to find the back of the net twice.
