Today the last teams to participate in the Champions League have been made official, there were some surprises. In the first match of the day there were no surprises as Zenit Petersburg continued what they started in the first leg as they won 4-2 against Pacos Ferreira. The Russian side went 3-0 up in the first 66 minutes. Pacos Ferreira pulled one back before Zenit scored a fourth, the Portuguese side scored the last goal of the match to finish 4-2. In another match AC Milan faced Dutch side, PSV Eindhoven. The Italians were favorites as in the Netherlands the match ended 1-1. The Italian side matched expectations as they won 3-0, taking them only 9 minutes to open the score. They increased the lead in the 55th minute and sealed the match with another goal in the 77th minute.
In Scotland, Celtic might a comeback as they managed to overturn the two goal handicap they suffered in the first leg against Shakhter Karagandy. Celtic scored the opening goal right before halftime through Kris Commons. Right at the beginning of the second half Celtic managed to score a second goal through Samaras to level the two leg encounter. Right before the final whistle the Scottish champions scored a third goal thanks to James Forrest to qualify for the Champions League. In Slovenia there were no surprises as Viktoria Plzen finished what they started with a 1-0 win against Maribor. Viktoria Plzen qualify with an overall aggregate of 4-1. In Spain, Real Sociedad managed to qualify at the expense of favorites Lyon. The Spanish won the match 2-0 thanks to two goals by Mexican striker Carlos Vela.
