During this season Christian Abbiati and Marco Amelia have played as goalkeepers for AC Milan. These two have not completely convinced Mr Allegri, making some big mistakes, that cost AC Milan serious defeats. Abbiati has played some matches more than Amelia, but he has been criticized in several situations.

During the winter transfer marker, it seemed that Amelia coud have left AC Milan to play in Premier League. At that time, AC Milan was interested in the Dutch goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg, often remained on the bench in Roma, due to Zeman’s new strategies. However, the change of coach in Roma, has interrupted these operations.

AC Milan has continued looking for a new goalkeeper: Perin seemed another interesting option, even if the player, currently on loan in Pescara from Genoa, is probably too young to have the right attitude to play in Europe. AC Milan’s manager for this reason are thinking about a goalkeeper with experience to support Perin, at the beginning of his career. In the last weeks, it’s rumored a possible return in Italy, of Julio Cesar, ex-Inter Milan goalkeeper, but nothing has been defined.

The name of the day is Federico Marchetti, regular goalkeeper in Lazio. It is improbable his departure from Lazio, because he is considered one of the most important elements of his team. Allegri is dreaming to have Marchetti on his bench, but the possibilities are really scarce.

Also Gabriel, the third goalkeeper in AC Milan, will probably leave next year on loan, to grow up and to experiment Italian football.
