Brazilian international midfielder Paulinho has confirmed that he is set to make a £17million move from Corinthians to Premier League Tottenham.

There has been wide spread speculation that the midfielder was set to join Spurs and the player himself has now confirmed the speculation.

Tottenham’s north London rivals Arsenal have completed the signing of young French striker Yaya Sanogo. The 20-year-old striker left Auxerre as a free agent this summer and has signed a long-term deal with the Gunners.

Ambitious Welsh outfit Swansea are eyeing a double swoop for Liverpool’s Jonjo Shelvey and Blackpool’s Tom Ince. Both of the youngsters have represented England at under-21 level and Shelvey has made an appearance for the Three Lions senior team.

Ince would cost the Swans around £8million, while a fee of £5million is being mooted for former-Charlton ace Shelvey.

Swansea are also believed to be interested in signing young Birmingham winger Nathan Redmond, but it now seems that Premier League rivals Norwich have jumped to the front of the queue for the England under-21 international.

Premier League newcomers Hull City have agreed a fee of £1.8million with Turkish club Besiktas for Scotland international keeper Allan McGregor. McGregor left Rangers last summer after the Gers were demoted to the Scottish third division because of financial problems.

Another team new to the Premier League Cardiff have strengthened their attack with the £7.5million signing of Andreas Cornelius from Danish giants FC Copenhagen. The 20-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Bluebirds.

Finally, the other promoted club Crystal Palace have agreed a £3million deal with Championship Peterborough for young striker Dwight Gayle. The 22-year-old scored 13 times last season in 29 appearances for Posh in the Championship, but could not stop his club from being relegated to League One.
