Italy Serie A — 05 March 2013

This week-end has not been characterized just by football matches, but also by the negative acts of two players: Nicklas Bendtner and Antonio Cassano.

The Juventus striker Bendtner, on Saturday night, has been found by Police in a state of inebriation while driving his car. Moreover, the Danish player was driving in the wrong way, without a valid license. The consequences are 3 years without the driving license and a fine of 113.000 euro. Yesterday the striker has been punished also by the Danish football Federation with an exclusion of 6 months from the National team. Antonio Conte, Juventus coach, declared:” It is difficult to comment on these events. The Club is going to analyze the situation, and then it will be possible to take measures.” Antonio Cassano

Antonio Cassano, Inter Milan player, and his coach Stramaccioni after the trainee session on Friday have fought each other. Everything started because Cassano criticized the role of the coach during a friendly match and to solve the situation it had to intervene  Cordoba, the team manager. As a consequence,Cassano has not been called for the match Catania-Inter Milan. On Monday, the player apologized for his behaviour, in the presence of his teammates ; now he has to pay a fine of 40.000 euro. However, it seems that the struggle has been solved: Cassano will play the match in Europa League against Tottenham.
