A negative performance for the Italy national team just arrived in Brazil: a 2-2 with Haiti, that creates a situation of general tension and crisis. In fact, in addition to the result, the way of game of Italy has been negative: no ideas and no excellent physical condition. In 3 days the Confederations Cup will start and if Italy continues playing in this way, it will be a disaster.

The match started in a positive way: after 19 seconds the Juventus midfielder Giaccherini scored the first goal for Italy. This goal seemed the beginning of numerous goals that would have been scored by Italy and the first goal in the national team scored by Giaccherini. After that goal, the match has been characterized by a few occasions and by Italy that seemed sleeping on the field. Gilardino scored an offside goal, Diamanti trying to make an excellent goal, fails a clear and easy occasion. Sirigu, substitute of Buffon, saved in some situation Italy, that showed a defense not really convinced about his possibilities. The first half finished 1-0.

At the beginning of the second half, Prandelli decided to line up some regular players. Sirigu has been substituted by Marchetti, and after 10 minutes De Rossi, Balotelli and Montolivo entered trying to support their teammates. Nothing changed the result: Italy continued his negative and lazy performance, while Haiti showed his desire to gain a positive result and his enthusiasm. At 20′ of the second half, El Shaarawy and Marchisio have been lined up to substitute their tired teammates. A movement well performed by the couple El Shaarawy-Balotelli permitted Marchisio to score the second goal for Italy. 2-0 seemed a logic result for this match, but Haiti changed completely the situation. 5 minutes before the end, Astori made a fault that caused a penalty, realized by Saurel, and one minute before the end Peguero managed in scoring the second goal for Haiti, gaining the draw.

Haiti celebrated this occasion, but Italy has to think about his performance and which are the problems, because the beginning of the Confederations Cup is forthcoming.
