Yesterday Giuseppe Rossi arrived in Florence from the USA where the player has spent the last months to recover from his injuries. In fact, he has broken two times his cruciate ligament, the first time at the end of 2011 and the second at the beginning of 2012. After these, he left for a period of physical therapy in Colorado and in the meanwhile, Fioretina, aware of his talent, bought Rossi that was a Villareal player.
Today Montella’s staff will subject the player to physical examinations to evaluate the current situation. If everything is normal, he could start a differentiate trainee programme. The aim is to have Pepito Rossi available for the last 4 matches of this season.
Just landed in Florence, the player spoke about his future. He is really happy to have this new opportunity in Italy, especially in a well-organized group as Fiorentina and he wants to help his team as soon as possible, reaching a great position in the league table and the qualification for an European competition. He is also looking forward to play with Jovetic, but the player underlined that everything depends on the condition of his knee.
The Italy National coach Prandelli hopes to have Pepito Rossi in his team for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, even if, for now, it is too early to have a clear view of his future.
