FIFA denies Mourinho´s comments by stating that: "The list of the votes is accurate"

FIFA, the governing body of the world of football, rejected accusations from the Portuguese Jose Mourinho on a detour of votes in the election for the best coach in the world and said that the process was fair.

In a brief statement to the state agency Lusa and widely reported in Portugal, FIFA ensured that “the list of votes is accurate” and denied the existence of privileges to the winner of that vote, the Spanish coach, Vicente del Bosque and refuted any intent to injure the Portuguese coach.

Mourinho accused FIFA of diversion of votes in an interview aired Tuesday on public broadcaster Radio Television Portuguesa (RTP).

“Of course it was the right decision (not to go to the gala). When received calls from more than one, two or three people saying “I voted for you’ and the vote appeared to another, I decided not to go”, he said.

Real Madrid´s coach justified his absence from the FIFA gala in January, by stating to be focused on preparing for a match for the “Copa del Rey” against Celta de Vigo.
