The match played this afternoon in San Siro was really important for AC Milan, not only to get points, but also to forget as soon as possible the defeat in Camp Nou. Mario Balotelli

Mario Balotelli, absent in Barcelona and author of a double today, is the best player of the match against Palermo. The first goal arrived  at 8′ of the first half, when Aronica made a fault to the detriment of Balotelli. The referee assigned a penalty to the ex-Manchester City player that scored a masterpiece; Sorrentino is an hard goalkeeper to defeat in case of penalties, but Balotelli used an excellent precision and strenght.

The following part of the match has been characterized by a continuous attack phase of AC Milan and just an occasion for Palermo, a shot of Ilicic, easily saved by Christian Abbiati.

The second half started with an AC Milan tired and without motivation due to the advantage and a reactive Palermo, that tried to build something, without realizing.

The turning point of the whole match is the 28′ of the second half: Sorrentino did not hold a pass from Aronica and Balotelli shooot without hesitation, signing the 2-0 for AC Milan.

The match ended with a tired AC Milan that tried to score the third goal, and an apathetic Palermo. However, 2-0 is the result and Barcelona is a distant nightmare.
