The Italian Serie A has lost some of the glamour it enjoyed in the 90’s and early 2000’s but the top Italian clubs still have high wage bills. In recent years various Italian clubs have reduced their wage bills by selling some of their top earners. AC Milan did so this summer by selling Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to Paris Saint Germain. Those departures plus others from the old guard mean a saving of 60 million euros but their wage bill is still the highest within the Serie A. Their annual wage bill sums up to 120 million euros. Below you may find a complete list of the net salary every player earns. All the amounts are in millions of euros and referring to the money the players earn after tax. In Italy players pay 50% in tax therefore if a player is earning 4 million euros a year after tax it means that his gross salary is of 8 million euros.
