Serie A has ended yesterday evening, confirming the league table defined in the previous round: AC Milan will participate to Champions League, while Fiorentina and Udinese in Europa League. As all the rounds, also this one has been characterized by positive and negative elements.
First top is Ljajic, author of three goals and of an excellent performance. The Serbian player has lived a good season, becoming fundamental for Montella and his team. Considered the probable departure of Jovetic, desired by numerous big Clubs, Fiorentina has to sign a new contract with Ljajic, whose contract lasts till 2014.
Udinese gained the participation in Europa League for the third consecutive year. 66 points in total and 8 victories in the last 8 rounds permit Udinese to overpass Lazio, Roma and Inter Milan. Important the victory 2-5 against Stramaccioni’s team in San Siro that determined the direct qualification for the European competition.
The third top is Gianluca Pegolo, rewared yesterday evening by the president of Siena for being the best player of his team during this season. The goalkeeper has confirmed his excellence saving Siena in several situations against AC Milan, despite the penalty realized by Balotelli.
First flop, not only of the round, but of the whole season is Inter Milan. Stramaccioni’s team has been defeated another time, remaing out of European competition. A bad season that cannot be considered only the result of injuries, but that is a bigger problem.
Palermo is the other flop of this season. Last year the Club seemed ready to become competitive at high levels and this year has been relegated in Serie B. Nothing positive also during this last round, because it has been defeated by Parma.
Last flop the numerous polemics that are connected with every round of Serie A. Mistakes made by the referees, wrong penalties, racist events and inults tend to destroy Italian football.
