The 38^ round is the last of this Serie A. For some teams the future has already been established: Juventus won his second Scudetto, while Pescara, Siena and Palermo have been relegated in Serie B. Napoli will for sure take part to next Champions League due to his second position in the league table. The doubt is who between Fiorentina and AC Milan will participate to the preliminary phase of Champions League: this round is decisive for both of them. Another doubt is who between Lazio and Udinese will participate to Europa League.
The first match of this round is Sampdoria-Juventus, a match that could be interesting due to the good performances of Sampdoria’s strikers during this season.
On Sunday afternoon Atalanta will play against Chievo and Bologna against Genoa. Two matches not important for the European competitions, because all these teams are located in the mid part of the league table.
Differently, all the important matches will be played on Sunday evening: Roma-Napoli, Cagliari-Lazio, Siena-AC Milan, Torino-Catania, Inter Milan-Udinese, Palermo-Parma and Pescara-Fiorentina.
These matches will be decisive for Europe, but will be interesting also for the declarations of the coaches. After Roma-Napoli it is probable that Mazzarri will explain the project for his future. The same applies for Allegri after the match against Siena. Also the results could influence the movements of the coaches: Stramaccioni could leave Inter Milan in case of defeat against Udinese, and Allegri as well if the qualification for Champions League won’t be reached. Montella, Fiorentina’s coach, could also become a protagonist of this coaches’ movements, because his contract has not been confirmed yet for next season.
The last round of 2012-2013 Serie A appears exciting not only for the results of the matches, but also for the developments that could result for the future of Italian football.
