Valencia´s midfielder Sergio Canales, showed very convinced that his team will finish the season in fourth place and will have options to play the next edition of the Champions League.
“We are sure that we will play the Champions. There´s a lot remaining in the league, we have a very good squad to make a good season. We have to focus on us, we can beat anyone,” said the Spaniard player to the Valencia´s website editors.
Talking about the next league game, against Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon, Canales stated that they “are having a good season, especially at home” and praised the rest of this weekend due to national commitments. “We are going to take advantage of this break to rest after so many games this season,” he said.
Canales played again this week to play with his national sub-21 team and was involved with a goal in the win against Norway. “I am very happy to come to the national team, it´s always an honor knowing the great players that are here”, said the midfielder, who has left behind his serious injuries and faces “very confident the remainder of the season.”
