Premier League Transfer News — 14 July 2013

Adel TaarabtMercurial QPR playmaker Adel Taarabt has been linked with a move Ligue One with Marseille.

The French outfit are believed to be long-term admirers of the Moroccan international and QPR are in desperate need to cut the wage bill.

Veteran keeper Steve Harper is set for a move to Premier League newcomers Hull City. The former-Newcastle keeper will have a medical on Monday, after it was reported that he has already agreed a deal with the club from Humberside.

Liverpool are being linked with a £22million deal for Ajax pair Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen. Ajax boss Frank de Boer has revealed recently that he would not stand in Eriksen’s way if he wished to leave the club.

Alderweireld has recently rejected a £6.9million move to Premier League Norwich, although he has previously stated his liking for the Premier League.

A player that did accept a move to Norwich is Holland international midfielder Leroy Fer. The 23-year-old midfielder has arrived at Carrow Road for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £6.9million. Fer had previously attracted the attention of Everton.

Everton are being linked with a loan move for Chelsea and Nigerian winger Victor Moses, with a view to a permanent deal next summer. Moses played under Everton boss Roberto Martinez at Wigan, but has had limited opportunities at Stamford Bridge.

Moses is not the only player with a Wigan link that Everton are chasing though, with Republic of Ireland midfielder James McCarthy attracting the Toffees interest. Everton are believed to interested in signing the highly-rated midfielder for £12million, with the Latics wanting closer to £20million.

Manchester City are readying a £27million move for Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic according to the Sun. Arsenal were also interested in the Montenegrin international, but City look to have moved into pole position for the star.
