The Spanish international looked set to battle it out for the number one shirt at Anfield with Simon Mignolet, but it seems the Spaniard is heading for Serie A.
Brazilian full-back Andre Santos has returned to his homeland with Flamengo on a permanent basis and signed a two-year contract. The 30-year-old moves to Flamengo on a free transfer.
Arsenal could be adding to their squad in the near future according to the Daily Mail. Brazilian wonderkid Bernard is wanted by the Gunners and the side from north London could be set to make a bid for the 20-year-old.
Bernard has attracted the attention of the likes of Porto, Tottenham, and Shakhtar Donetsk. However, it looks like Arsenal could be frontrunners for the Brazilian under-20 international star.
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has confirmed that the Magpies are interested in signing in Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis. The likes of Swansea, Aston Villa, and Cardiff are also believed to be interested in signing the 27-year-old French international striker.
Meanwhile Newcastle midfielder Sylvain Marveaux could be a target for Greek club Olympiakos, according to L’Equipe. The mooted deal is a loan move with the possibility of a permanent move next summer.
Manchester United are believed to have raised their bid for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas from £25million to £30million. The Spanish champions have stated that the former-Arsenal captain is not for sale, but that has not stopped United improving their bid. United have yet to bring in any fresh faces under David Moyes.
As expected, Sunderland striker Danny Graham has joined Premier League newcomers Hull on a season-long loan deal. The former-Swansea striker failed to score in his 13 appearances for the Black Cats last season.
Will Arsenal sign Brazilian wonderkid Bernard?
