Serie A Transfer News — 27 February 2013

Italian football has been damaged by the crisis; this is demonstrated by the last transfer operations and by the reduced wages that clubs are able to pay. Top players, like Ibrahimovic or Thiago Silva, have been sold during the summer transfer period to invest in younger and cheaper footballer. This revolution shows considerably the difference with Premier League: this last one is the richest championship of the world. Players that have no more chances to continue their experience in England have left to play in Italy.

Juventus- During summer the Club searched a striker in addition to Sebastian Giovinco. The desire was Robin van Persie, but the result is Nicklas Bendtner, ex Sunderland; his performance in Italy is only connected with the injury in December and his current absence from the field.

Lazio- After the injury of Miroslav Klose, the club has decided to bring to Rome Louis Saha, the French center forward ex Sunderland, that during the last season has never played. Saha has rescinded his contract with Sunderland to become a Lazio player, but as for Bendtner, there are not great visible results.

Inter Milan – Yesteday John Carew, ex West Ham,  arrived in Milan to do the medical examinations before becoming Milito’s official substitute.

AC Milan- different situation compared to the previous; the Club has made a big investment. The Italian national player Mario Balotelli left Manchester during the winter transfer session to reach Milan, where he scored, for now, 4 goals in 4 matches.
