Moussa DembeleTottenham Hotspurs have announced the signing of Belgian international Moussa Dembele from English side Fulham. Tottenham agreed to pay Fulham 18 million euros for Dembele. Dembele was being linked to various clubs with Manchester United being the keenest to sign him. On the other hand Fulham weren’t too keen to sell one of their best players therefore Tottenham had to trigger a clause in Dembele’s contract by offering 18 million euros. By making such a bid Fulham couldn’t hold on to Dembele. Manchester United manager, Alex Ferguson, will be gutted that Tottenham managed to sign one of his main targets. On the other hand this is an important signing for Tottenham as Dembele will be the man that replaces Luka Modric.

Moussa Dembele started his professional career in his native Belgium at Germinal Beerschot before moving to the Netherlands to play for Willem II and later on at AZ Alkmaar. In 2010 he moved to England to play for Fulham. Dembele is a Belgium international having represented the senior side 40 times and scored 5 goals.
