FA Cup — 12 March 2013

Manchester United and Chelsea FC drew 2-2 in an extraordinary football game for the sixth round of the FA Cup

The Mexican Javier Hernandez and Wayne Rooney put United ahead in the score 2-0 within just eleven minutes, the game seemed to be for the reds, however Chelsea was a new team on the second half, and tied the game with the Belgian Eden Hazard (59) and the Brazilian Ramirez (68).

The first half was dominated by the red devils, but in the second half the blues realized that could do more in the game and gave more than a headache to Manchester´s defense.

Even the Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea saved Manchester from  getting eliminated by saving several blue attempts at the end of the match.

Nani injury not serious

Sir Alex Ferguson is hopeful that Nani will be back on the pitch sooner rather than later, after missing the second half of Sunday’s clash with Chelsea.

The Portuguese winger picked up an injury just before half-time, when United were leading 2-0 and pressing for what might have been a killer third goal. He played no further part in the match and could only watch as the visitors rallied to force a replay.

Sir Alex said  “Nani got a little hamstring injury. I don’t think it’s too serious but nonetheless he had to come off.”

Belgian star Eden Hazard’s introduction from the bench proves to be the catalyst for Chelsea’s revival as the Blues recover from 2-0 down to force a replay against Man Utd.
