Transfer News — 30 August 2012

Juventus CelebratingJuventus are still very active in the transfer market as they are still in the hunt for a quality striker. Yesterday it seemed that the bianconeri were going to seal a deal for Dimitar Berbatov but the Bulgarian striker changed his mind at the very end and instead opted to join Fulham as his wife doesn’t want to leave England. At Fulham he will also be joining his old manager whilst at Tottenham, Martin Jol.

Following Berbatov’s decision Juventus have turned their attention to various candidates with Arsenal’s Nicklas Bendtner topping the list. Juventus are still hoping to seal a deal for Llorente from Athletic Bilbao although the Spaniards don’t want to sell him for less than 36 million euros. Other options for Juventus are Genoa’s Alberto Gilardino and Lazio’s Floccari. Should Juventus not agree a deal with any of the mentioned they might also consider recalling a player they sent on loan such as Ciro Immobile or Manolo Gabbiadini. It seems that Juventes transfer gurus Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici will have a lot to do in the next 48 hours.
