Transfer News — 24 August 2012

Juventus have been on the hunt for a world class striker for a long time with many names being linked to the Turin based side. In the last weeks it was reported that Juventus were monitoring Bilbao’s striker Llorente. The Basque’s striker situation seems to have complicated itself therefore Juventus have decided to change their objective and try to sign Edin Dzeko. It’s not the first time that Juventus are after Dzeko as they wanted to sign him before he joined Manchester City. It seems that this time the move can happen as Manchester City consider him surplus. Juventus are ready to pay 20 million euros for the Bosnia International.

Before joining Manchester City, Dzeko played in Germany for Wolfsburg where he also won an unexpected German Bundesliga. In the past he always admitted his liking of the Italian Serie A and he also mentioned that as a boy he supported AC Milan.
