Brazil is approaching the 2014 World Cup in the best way possible; yesterday evening Brazil has defeated the World and European champion Spain. During the whole maBrazil, Confcup winnertch, Scolari’s players have shown a clear superiority and have limited the possibilities of Spain. 3-0 have been the final result, reached thanks to the goal of Neymar and a double of Fred. Spain at 10′ of the second half had the possibility to improve the result due to a penalty assigned because Marcelo committed a fault in detriment of Navas. However, Sergio Ramos failed and did not realize the goal that could have helped Spain. Casillas has been the best player for Spain, while Brazil has played an excellent match. This challenge has been important and could be a sign that the supremacy of Spain is disappearing.

In the meanwhile, Uruguay and Italy have played the match to establish the third and the fourth position. The match showed two tired teams and finished with a draw 2-2. Authors of the goal have been Astori and Diamanti for Italy, while a double by Cavani permitted Uruguay to gain this result. The final result has been decided by a series of penalties: Italy won 4-5 concluding at the third place Confederations Cup.
